Having healthy eating habits does not mean having a restrictive or monotonous diet. On the contrary, one of the fundamental pillars of a healthy diet is variety. The more varied your food selection, the better! Different foods contribute different nutrients, which potentially enriches each person's eating day. By opting for healthier eating habits, you don't have to give up those less healthy foods that you love so much. The important thing is that the consumption of these foods is the exception and not the rule in your daily diet. Vegetables, fruits, cereals and legumes are foods rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and low in fat, which is why they should be the “basic foods” of your daily life. That is, most of the calories you consume daily should come from these foods of plant origin. Eating healthy should be seen as an opportunity to expand your range of choices and try new dishes, this way it enriches your eating habits and prevents your diet from becoming routine and monotonous.
