The Directorate-General for Health joins the celebrations of World Breastfeeding Week 2017 on the theme: “All together for Breastfeeding”.
In Portugal, Breastfeeding Week takes place from September 29th to October 6th, 2017.
With World Breastfeeding Week we aim to achieve the following objectives:
- Inform people about the new Sustainable Development goals and how they relate to breastfeeding and complementary feeding.
- Firmly anchor breastfeeding as a key component of sustainable development.
- Promote a variety of actions on breastfeeding and healthy complementary foods.
- Engage and collaborate with a wide range of actors around the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding
